FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What Is An EAP?
An Employee Assistance Program is a confidential, professional counseling service provided by your employer. Services are available 24-hours per day, 7-days per week, anytime you or your family members are experiencing problems.
    -
  2. What does it cost to use an EAP?
As an employee there is no cost to use the services of the EAP. This is a benefit paid for by your employer.  There is a very small fee for the use of the legal services.
    -
  3. Will my employer find out about my personal problems?
The EAP is designed to be confidential and is confidential by law.  No mention will be made to your employer that you used the service unless you sign a release agreement.  In the event your employer is concerned with your performance or behavior they may ask, or in some cases, require you to call the EAP as a condition of employment. Your employer will be notified that you complied with their wishes. But no personal issues will ever be communicated to your employer without your written permission.
    -
  4. As an employer how will I know if my employees are making use of this service?
You will receive quarterly reports indicating the number of employees that made use of the EAP, but no identifying data on who.
    -
  5. How long does it take to get this service going for my employees?
Once you contract with us we can be in full service for your organization and employees in just a few days (1-3).
    -
  6. How does Working Well help reduce my health care costs?
Whether you provide insurance coverage or not there is a percentage of your employees that are either overweight, smokers, overstressed, drink too much, or live unhealthy lifestyles. Working Well provides a health risk assessment to identify employees at risk.  We then provide onsite prevention and intervention education to inspire those employees to use the coaching services for a lifestyle change. Without change these employees are costing your bottom line in absenteeism, lost productivity, mistakes, on the job absenteeism, and a host of health care issues.
    -
  7. How are you different from any other EAP out there?
EAP's originate from different sources and therefore different reasons for being in business. Some EAP's are owned by large managed care organizations typically located hundreds of miles away from your business location. They are using the EAP as away to get your managed care or insurance business, where the real money is for them. Being so removed from your business you never meet the people who are providing this very personal service for your employees. We at Working Well become partners with you and your management team in solving some of your most difficult employee behaviors. With Working Well you have your own personal, experienced, professional account manager and therefore know who you are dealing with. With the 1-800 GOOD LUCKS, you don't get that level of service.
